Alan's contemporary interpretations of Irish life and horse racing have captivated a whole generation of art-lovers. His extraordinary paintings of horses possess a spontaneity that can only be achieved by a close association and understanding of horses which is thoroughly attuned to their energy and spirit. Alan was born in Ireland in 1946 and lives by the shores of Strangford Lough. His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions both in Ireland, UK, USA and more recently in Barcelona. He was one of 100 European artists invited to exhibit at the Platform 100 Exhibition at the ING Bank London (formerly Barings Bank) in conjunction with Discerning Eye.
